(TEXT IN ENGLISH AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE) - E ' passato del tempo da quando vi abbiamo invitato a partecipare all’organizzazione di WOFA Open, (World of Floral Art’s independent international competition for florists), purtroppo, ci sono state delle difficoltà che abbiamo dovuto superare sin dal momento che è nata e si stava sviluppando l'idea. In questi due anni abbiamo lavorato sodo ed eliminato tutte le possibili casistiche negative e sentiamo che ora sia il momento giusto per riprendere insieme il cammino e far rivivere questo splendido progetto di WOFA.
Il motivo dell’Idea di WOFA, è perché abbiamo notato che tutti o quasi, i concorsi per i fioristi, sono molto legati ad organizzazioni commerciali di settore o organizzazioni professionali floreali e sindacali e non sono regolamentati da norme comuni e concordati da tutte le categorie.
Quando abbiamo iniziato a lavorare sullo sviluppo dell’idea di WoFa, ci siamo resi conto che mancava un concorso per fioristi, anche a livello internazionale, libero al 100% .
Noi vogliamo sviluppare e regolamentare i vari step dei concorsi per fioristi, sia a livello locale che nazionale, fino ad arrivare a regolamentare insieme una competizione internazionale.
Lo scopo di Wofa era, ed è, la realizzazione di un grande programma, indipendente dalle organizzazioni internazionali floreali e sindacali; vogliamo stimolare lo sviluppo dei fioristi indipendenti di tutto il mondo ed elevare le competenze ad un livello superiore e più innovativo.
Questo non significa che i fioristi che sono membri di organizzazioni floreali o sindacali come per esempio "Interflora"o altro ... sono da escludere dal WOFA; al contrario, esortiamo ogni fiorista, organizzato o indipendente di aderire al progetto.
L'idea è di creare una grande, la più grande organizzazione internazionale dei fioristi e delle scuole di Arte Floreale.
Hanno accolto con grande favore questa idea, oltre 30 scuole di arte floreale a livello internazionale: Stati Uniti, Sud America, Giappone, Canada, Cina, Europa e centinaia di fioristi da ogni parte del mondo.
Abbiamo valutato con la nostra Agenzia Nazionale Isfol, la possibilità di un finanziamento del progetto a livello europeo. Abbiamo avuto una risposta positiva e questo fa ben sperare per il futuro. Ora è necessario istituire una task force per sviluppare il progetto, allinearlo alle esigenze di tutti ed arrivare ad una assemblea plenaria, nel novembre 2011 in Slovacchia ( in fase di pianificazione).

It‘s a long time since we invited you to participate at WOFA Open, World of Floral Art’s independent international competition for florists .
Unfortunately we encountered several difficulties and negative forces that had to be overcome, when we launched the idea. We felt at that time, that we temporarily were forced to shut down the project. Working with WOFA, we now feel that the time is right to pick up where we left, and revive this superb project.
We sincerely apologise for not having been good enough in sending out information concerning our WOFA project. We should have done so to all floral school, individual florists who have shown interest in this project, as well as schools, other organisations and international projects for which this initiative could be of interest.
The reason that we came up with the idea of WOFA was that we found out that all competitions for florists were very connected to florist organisations or floral trade organisations. We, at the time we started working on developing the concept, realised that there was not any real 100% open international competition for florists.
We want to develop an open competition for florists on a local national level that could develop into an international competition, and maybe even worldwide.
The aim for this was, and still is, to realise a forum, independent of the big international floral organisations and trade unions, that can stimulate the development of the independent florists throughout the world, and lift florists skills to a higher and more innovative level.
This doesn’t mean that florists who are members of floral organisations or trade unions as for example “Interflora” or other… are to be excluded from WOFA. On the contrary. We urge any florist, organized or independent to join and we will welcome you with open arms.
The idea is to create a large, the largest international organization of florists and Floral School.
Have warmly welcomed this idea, over 30 schools in Floral Art at the international level from United States, South America, Japan, Canada, China, Europe and hundreds of florists from all over the world.
We have evaluated with our European national agency, the ability to finance the project. We had a positive response. Now it is necessary to establish a task force to prepare the project, and arrive at a plenary assembly, in November 2011 in Slovakia (we are planning).
